That's the point of the tests -- essentially, the idea is that P67 fixes the shortcomings of P55 boards. It lets you gain those improvements to the chipset without having to shell out at the same time for another processor, when it's entirely likely your current processor is still capable.

It would have been much preferred I think if the new processors were compatible with older mobos, but that'd ruin Intel's focus on profit margins.
