It could be strategic disobedience. nVidia killed all of their G71 inventory with that killer 7900GTO SKU. At this point do they care if anyone doesn't buy a high end video card for a week? I haven't heard anything official from nVidia about this, and honestly if they were really upset about it, I think we would have. I think this is all about the hype-generation.

If NDAs were really that cut+dried, then we would never see a leaked photo, or leaked benchmarks, or people taking the world records before anyone else can get their hands on the hardware. This is all marketing. I for one am totally buying into it, too, haha. I don't think I can afford it this time around though.
