Well, AvP hasn't changed a lot from what I remember. I only mucked around in the Human SP campaign for a bit, but if you like wandering around in the dark waiting for something to jump out, this game is for you.
I think it's worth the $10. It was on my radar at release, but IIRC it came out about the same time Bad Company 2 did, so I spent my dollars on that. I'll be waiting for daylight hours to play some more AvP.
