I'm with SKY on this one.
IMHO, this thing is being thrown out of proportions because if you are in this forum, participating in this discussion, you're already part of a "hardcore" audience that wouldn't buy into pre-overclocked cards. We buy base cards for a cheaper price because we know how to/can overclock them ourselves. The only time anyone of us would ever consider buying a pre-overclocked card is if its reduced in price bringing it close to the price of a stock card, or if it comes with a great custom cooler that warrants the extra premium for better temperatures and noise (i.e. Vapor-X by Sapphire).
But this situation I guess goes beyond what we choose to buy and it gets into some messy topics in ethics, and corporatism and etc which I don't even want to get into.
