if the cartridges you get with a new printer can be refilled, then you can use that ink when the original bottles get empty; the ink formulas will be a bit different, so that means you will have to calibrate your printer.
every different make and kind of ink needs its own calibration.
if you don't have the equipment to calibrate the printer, then you can use Photoshop's "image - adjustments - selective color". Use the "relative" method for that.
doing it this way will not give you perfectly balanced colors, but it will be very near.
