Hello, didn't follow the thread and I understand you already bought some parts, but here are some parts that are on sale everywhere. Good luck to you.
To stick to your budget with these parts, switch the cpu to AMD Athlon II x2 240 and Mobo to 770-C45, but I think this is a nice bundle and the extra power is worth it, unless you would trade the money for a 1GB GTX 460 if gaming is more important than your school work. Ahem..
AMD Athlon II X3 440 3.0GHZ CPU & MSI 790X-G45 DDR3 Motherboard (X3 440 & 790X-G45) $184.69
OCZ OCZ3G1333LV4GK 4GB DDR3 2X2GB DDR3-1333 $64.99
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 Superclocked 768MB $211.11
Western Digital WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 3GB/S 7200RPM $79.99
Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 ATX 3X5.25 6X3.5INT $54.99
RS460-PSARJ3-US 460W ELITE PSU ATX 12V V2.31 OVER 70% EFFICIENCY $35.50
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro $29.74
Samsung SH-S223C 22X DVD Writer SATA Black $29.89
Total: A bit above 650 $ If you find Crucial 4GB DDR3 1333 go for it. It's cheaper than OCZ and reliable.
