Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 1 GB Graphics Card Review - X-bit labs
It makes me want to save up for one even if it is overkill. It sounds like a GTX 460 could be a HTPC/Gaming card for just over $200. I didn't really want to spend so much on a card, though. I was trying to make $100 be it, max. I have some other components to buy. I might just sit on the idea for a while and use my crappy X300SE card for now. Although, I have a few options to buy used cards but the GTX 460 would be relatively future proof being right up to date and not too bad temps wise and the power consumption isn't bad for a good performing card like that.
Plus the fact I'm also a Linux user, I can't go wrong choosing Nvidia. The Linux open source purists might think otherwise but I read of too many problems with ATI owners compared to ones who are satisfied.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. Feel free to add any more. It might help me make a decision...
