++ for Blade Runner, but I was very disapointed with the new(er) directors cut which took out the narrative. IMO, the narrative sets the mood of the movie as much as the dark city scenes. I was about 1/2 hour into the dvd before I finally figured out what was "wrong" with the movie.... maybe the blueray version has enough space on it that you can select with/without the narrative. |
