With the Indilinx controller, the sustained write pales in comparison to the Sandforce controller (which is of course the high point of the controller, the sustained writes). I do need room, but I want an increase over my RAID setup so I'll saw "wow," since this is my first SSD. I also looked at
NCIX.com - Buy OCZ Vertex 2 Extended Sandforce 60GB 2.5IN SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD - OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G In Canada. I'm sure 60GB would be enough for me, and it's just an extended version, so it has the same great performance. I think the 60GB is what I'm considering the most now, even though it's a good $175.
I can price match the Vertex 2 Extended 60GB at NCIX with
OCZ Vertex 2 Extended Sandforce 60GB 2.5IN SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD - DirectCanada to reduce it $18, then I'll use the $10 MIR from OCZ and the end price will be $158 with no shipping cost, since I can go pick it up myself at the Markham warehouse.
