Great to hear everything worked out so well. Glad to hear that it's so quiet too.

As for cutting the wood, I'm sure it's the quality of the saw that caused your issues. I use a jigsaw for a lot of work since it's very accurate, not tablesaw accurate but nothing you can't make near perfect in a minute or two with some #120. If you plan on doing a lot of work with one it would be a worth while upgrade.
