Not the same thing. multi vrs "normal ocing" would be increasing the FSB (or htt IIRC on AMD systems) to get to the same CPU clock. What I'm talking about is increasing the multi for the actual NB in order to get a higher NB clock.

I've found getting it up around 2800+ decreases post time, and seems to make the OS feel "snappier".
