Nice to see that there may be some good competition again to hopefully help spur some new developments.
been a huge fan on amd and ati has well

bought like 6-7 rig with athlon Xp and 4-5 rig with Athlon 64 (dual and single core)

i've been using ati card in the 9000 series, had 9600Se, XT 9800, Pro xt etc.

when i bought my 1st athlon 64 system, the 6600GT was the best bang for the buck, then i upgrade for my x1950XT when the HD2900XT came out, those where pretty cheap and performed well for their $$$

all that to say that both world (cpu anf GPU) are cycle, sometimes its one compagny is the king and then its the dark side that is the king

Ati have been the king with their 9000 series, remember the Fx series how it was crappy compare to the 9600,9700,9800.

also remember how those shitty pentium 4 where comapre to the new athlon 64, pentium d against athlon 64 X2 .....

but remember how the geforce 6 were comapre to the X serie of ati, nvidia had sahder 3 and all the new tech while ati didnt, then Intel came with is Athlon 64 killer, the Core 2 Duo.

seems like all compagny when they are the king pass more time releassing product that are similar to his best seller product then his competitor, they also pass more time celebrating their victory then they do in Reaseach and devellopement,

how many 8800 are there in store?? GTS 32/640, gts 512, GTX, ultra GT, GS ....

how many athlon 64 (single or dual core) there in store??? socket 754, 939, am2, am2+ ....

like i said when you are the king you have more pleasure celebrating your victory then working and thats why the competition will bet you in a few month, because while you were celebrating your victory they have put twice the effort that you did to release something better and then knock your balls off,

thats why we have cycle like this in the cpu and the gpu world, and thats sad. but when both compagny are head to head then the customer is now happy, he can chose what he want dependig of his fan club and have good price because theirs a price war ...... when only one is the king then he puts dman huge price to make money so he could celebrate ... thats exactly what is going with intel/amd right now but with the price war in the GPU world going on. we can have great card for cheap (3850, 8800GT ect.) compare to the 8800GTX when it 1st came out

enough said going back to class
