edit: Actually, once the CC is over I'll probably be looking at it myself. I know that tighter timings don't make that much of a difference these days, but I do remember the days of tighter timings being able to shave seconds off of a 1M super-pi run so I'd suspect that there would be some kind of quantifiable benefit to faster speeds / tighter timings.

As it stands... some things are hard to quantify.... I know that higher NB speeds on my PII chips translates into a much snappier PC experience, but outside of measuring the time it takes for the post to complete, there's not much you can point to as proof..... ;)
