I'd go for the first build. However switch the Antec 200 and PSU to an Antec Sonata III or Cooler Master RC690 + Corsair PSU. Maybe ditch the Phenom II X4 as well as and get a Phenom II X2 and test your luck with unlocking the cores. If you don't wish to do that, then stick with the X4.
