Default Does it harm a CPU to run it around 45-55C?

Is it just me, or is it really difficult to seat an LGA775 HSF?

Anyways, it took me 15 mins of shuffling and such to get my HSF seated, and I'm sure some of the thermal paste isn't perfect. My CPU runs around 55C on load (not OC'd) and 46C idle.

My question is, do I need to go back and do this 100% right, or is my CPU fine?

P.S. if anyone has any advice on how to seat a LGA775 HSF, I'm al ears.
New on HWC but lots of feedback on RFD (89-0-0)
