On one hand, I guess there is some EULA or something that Apple users and such adhere to when they buy their iPhones and iPads. Maybe they are taking a stand here to protect iPhone/Pad security and stability?
That being said, this reeks of protectionism. I don't know enough about iPhone/Pad software development to understand why apple would do this. Does this take revenue away from Apple somehow? (ie. less sales on developer tools?)
Banning Flash in this manner, for any reason, seems like a mistake to me due to its popularity.
