I know what he was referring to. However, there's no limit as far as the PCI-E spec is concerned. A PCI-E slot can supply 150W (PCI-E 1.x is 75W, so most cards limit themselves to drawing 75W from the slot), 6-pin connectors are 75W, and 8-pin connectors are 150W. However, there aren't any limitations regarding what the connector arrangement is on the card. nVidia could easily stick two or even three full 8-pin connectors on a card, which would be plenty for even a dual GTX480 card (heat would be another issue, but I'm not talking about that right now).
