Great Review. Though I wanted to see what kind of OC's you could've pulled from that XFX and how that might speed it up. It's so bad that TSMC early production came out with dead areas in Stream Processors, but I think it was being severely gimped on the ROP's that causes the performance hit. TSMC produced a lot of sour lemons; I wonder what they've given Nvidia?
It's not a bad card and I think at $190-200 it has it place, ATI will announce a price drop once GTX470 start showing at retail and with price, OC'n and the closest NEW competition MSRP set at $350 USD it will look much better. |
