One thing that I noticed (and it's obvious) is that a few online computer stores started to put the remaining GTX285's on sale (around the $380 price mark). Again it's obvious, as they don't want to get stuck with 285's when FERMI comes out.
The thing that bothers me is that I really want to buy GTX470 when it comes out, as I'm a nVidia fan.
Most of the info on the 470 leads to the fact that GTX470 will be PRICED and PERFORM in between HD5850 and HD5870. So when FERMI comes out on March 26th (stocks will be low and prices probably $20-40 more due to launch prices), I'll have to opportunity

to buy a card that is NOT a breakthrough, that won't look really "shiny" and a "beast" compared to the HD5870. I don't want to go back to team RED because of their drivers, but really, nVidia managed to put themselves in a difficult situation where even long-time "followers" second-guess themselves and look "across the street" peeping at the HD5870.
I'll be on there the 26th (looking at NCIX's sales page/stocks), ready to purchase a new GFX card...who know, I might end up getting a HD5870 (XFX or ASUS) instead of the GTX470!!! Well, if the 470 performs in between 5850 and 5870 and is priced let's say $360 CDN, I'll just buy HD5870...period. I don't wish GTX470 to be priced lower than $350 in price, I want it to be performing tie with the HD5870 for the same price or less(or the "magic" will be non-existant).
Hopefully, nVidia will keep "leaking" some Valid benchmarks needed to make a choice. The wait is brutal.
