Gingerber you do what you want , I anwser personnaly about what I'm doing , but O ring are rated for many years yes, but they get compress when you install them, so when you re use them they do not have the same shape, you can do what you want but I will not risk a water leak for few cents. O ring is like gasket, new one with every assembly with me.,............. A bottle a fezer one is only 12 $ ..( cheaper if you buy only the additive ) so I prefer spent $ 36 a year and have no problem at all.
