Sound via HDMI out not loud enough

spdif is what your hdmi goes out as. You probably don't have the volume on your computer very high causing this issue.
If i have my audio out (spdif) set to 100% i only need my receiver set to around 15-20 (number scale).
I normally play my 360 at around 15-20 on the volume scale for my receiver too.
Though to get more surround sound without cranking it up a ton i will typically have my receiver at 35 while my audio out on my pc is around 30-40%.
