Here's the deal with supercooling :

From a 'materials compatibility' standpoint , there are 3 things on a motherboard that have issues below 0c.

1) The Battery.It has liquid/gel that will freeze and stop working.This is no problem , battery can be made external.

2)The Crystal oscillators that provide the 'clock' for fsb etc.Now , they still work cold , they just oscillate slower , so compensation is a must.

3)The electrolytic capacitors that are used in the power circuits.These also contain 'gels' that freeze.

Polymer capacitors don't use gels , so are immune to cold problems (theoretically)

-70 ain't crazy.I just wanna do some real overclocking.

The lowest temp for dry ice is -78.5c........I probably won't get that low , but the silicon can take it.

There are many examples of liquid nitrogen/liquid argon cooling for computers/processors.That's the true 'cryogenic' realm........-120 c and lower......
