Default Needs the lowdown

So I will be building a new PC and one of the things I would like to do with it is send one end of an HDMI cable from my 5850 and the other to my 52" HDTV for blue ray movies. I have two questions:

1. As far as HDMI cables go, I understand that there are different data rates and whatnot, and if you cheap out you will lose quality. However, I don't want to just go and buy the best cable in the store because it might be more then I actually need, and is seriously expensive. So, to play blue ray movies in all their glory, what kind of HDMI cable should I get? What specifications do I need?

2. This drive seems like the cheapest way to watch blueray ever: LiteOn 4x Internal Blu-ray Disc Reader, SATA, Black at Memory Express Computers

Now it says 4X but I have no idea what X speed I need for modern blue rays. Will this drive do the job? What about software?
