The 15 harddrives are not hooked up.
Couple of them are in enclosures and most of them I use with my dual bay eSATA dock for external storage use.
Regarding the box and the styrofoam; that is pretty much what my self-made setup already is.
I'm trying to store the harddrives on my desk, and cardboard boxes look quite out of place.
