To Olorin, you will see a night and day difference, although go with a x4 955BE ( save a few $)and after market hsf vendetta 2 or comparable. I went from a x2 6000 to the x4 940BE and it was a big difference.

Whiteangel, you'll see a difference in multi task but not all that exciting, depending on your budget try for a x4 955BE ddr2/ddr3, x4 940BE does ddr2 only or a x3 720BE ddr2/ddr3. If your in to gaming the a 4890 is a good budget card $180-200 max and packs a punch, 5770 packs less of a punch, if no gamiing most sale sub $100 card will do.

To both the BE version (black editions ) have unlocked multi so it's designed for easy overclocking, x4 940 and x4 955 should do 3.4ghz with ease.
