I get that point but I usually try to be a "second wave" early adopter.

In other words, I wait a month or two and THEN buy the stuff - not even because of the money so much but so that I might get a "later built" version of whatever the product is.
Anyway, whatever the case might be, it is frustrating when a company releases shiny new hardware but skimps on the actual drivers which would allow you to make proper use of that hardware. And yes, after shelling out around $500 for this card, I would have expected more proper support...in the form of a driver that actually allows me to at least boot into Windows.
I've owned a couple of nVidia cards in the past - 6600GT, 8600GT and 8800GTS 320MB and what I at least remember was that you COULD boot into Windows successfully.

UPDATE: The 9.12 "hotfix" drivers also seem to work reasonably for me.
