But some of the 12V rails drop over 0.3V, and the voltage ripple was nothing to write home about either, on any of the rails. Certainly doesn't seem like those extra caps are doing any miracles.
It's not that it's a failure by any means, maybe I'm just a little jaded by some of the other 1kW+ offerings that have hit the market recently. If I actually needed that kind of power, I'd like to know that the maker/designer used the technology available to provide the power properly. Silverstone's ST1500 that JG just reviewed only had a 0.09 drop under full load, despite handling 300W more. I suppose it's selling price will determine how good of a value this unit is.
