Default $1000 Budget [gaming]

I have been planning on building a PC for some time now, but I'm not really sure where to start. As suggested by my title, the PC will be for gaming.

I have selected the following core components.
  • Antec 900
  • AMD Phenom II X2 545/stock HSF
  • 700W FSP-Power Group PSU (modular)
  • ATI Radeon HD 5770
  • 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 1333 MHz (G. Skill)
  • 750 GB Western Digital Caviar Black
  • Windows 7 Home Premium (torn between 64 or 32 bit)
  • I am honestly not sure what to pick for a motherboard. I was thinking something by Gigabyte, possibly. I would prefer a 790X chipset, but that is not completely necessary. As long as the MOBO is reliable and has a 16x slot where a single really good video card can run.
Could I get feedback/suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: I'm adding in the template from the sticky.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming, web browsing/web games, email, *minor* photo and video editing.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
I have no realistic preferences, as long as the drivers, price, and performance are right.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
I have no current parts for a desktop other than a mouse. :|

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I haven't searched through threads. >.>

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Default speeds.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
In 2 months, around new years.
