The asus support guy must have been worn out. Last time I phoned them 6 months ago it was the exact same guy! He must be their frontline or something.

Anyway as long as this speedstep explains the large Vcore fluctuations in the ASUS probe thats ok. Vcore fluctuations in cpuz are small so ill rely on that. I dont mind having a powersaving feature as long as I can OC with it.

Need to trawl the web again.

BTW:opteron165+a8n32sli deluxe was a dream to work with for ocing. hopefully this board will be good too.
