Thinking about getting a SSD + Win 7 for my laptop. Maybe as a Christmas gift. I've been looking at this one
Newegg.ca - Corsair P128 (CMFSSD-128GBG2D) 2.5" 128GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks.
I've never seen or used an SSD before and I don't know too much about the different models. I've heard the Intel models are the best but I'm not really looking for extreme performance, but I like the idea of less noise + lower power consumption + no moving parts (I had to RMA a drive in this laptop already for moving it slightly). So is that Corsair P128 a good choice? 60/80GB wouldn't be enough for me but I don't even have 128GB used up on my drive now. Only installed a few games, some movies and music that I have on an external anyway.
And I figured it would be a good idea to get Windows 7 at the same time. I heard it's better for SSDs.
