Default maybe too late, but I've built 3 of these xeon boxes...

I've used the Titan 650 twice, but the most recent went into a Cooler Master Cosmos, which right now is on sale at NewEgg: $179, free shipping and a $90 rebate! while supplies last...

I've always used stock coolers--tried a Dynatron, but it was noisier than stock, and didnt cool as well.

Most motherboards (I use the Tyan x2696A2NRF) have fan management, so the fans run at low speeds most of the time.

You don't need water cooling on these rigs, mainly becuase they can't really be overclocked.

If i have any other thoughts, I'll post. I build these for clients who do video editing, animation, 3D graphics, multimedia.

If you have a question, or want to see some photos, just reply to this post.

PS I'm from the states, but my mum born and raised in Sunshine Coast BC, served in Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII...

Be well,

solo
