I'm no good with HTPC, but AMD is the way to go for HTPC builds. Their 785 chipset is excellent for HTPC, thus pretty much eliminating a need for a dedicated GPU. Plus you also get around to play with the rig and see if you can unlock the extra cores on those Phenom II.
