The Q9550 is overclocked, and its cores idle between 32 and 42 degrees. It honestly doesn't get much cooler than when not overclocked though, unless I really lower the ambient temperature - ie, opening a window in the winter.

The X2 on a cool summer night was reporting a temperature of 15 degrees. I did notice that Coretemp just reports a single temperature for the X2 instead of one for each core - is that an issue with Coretemp, or does the X2 just not report temps for each core?
