Have you tried the oven trick? Take all the plastic bits off and then bake the circuit board in the oven. Can't remember what temperature but the idea is to reflow solder that may have cracked. If the damage is from bending the board then a cracked solder joint is a very probable cause.
I have not done this myself. I read about it briefly and it does make sense since "IR reflow" is a step during manufacturing processes on Surface Mount lines.
