balistx: thanks for clearing the cf/sli stability and the sli certified psu question i had. just as an information, there are crossfire motherboards with 2X pci-e, i only know of asus ones, they r under "gaming" boards. also, i will take a look at the psu u recommended. i am already running vista ultimate and i am planning on running "crysis" so thats y i am looking at DX10 cards

b1lk1: I am currently running vista ult at 1280X1024 res and i want to play bioshock and crysis, which is coming out next month. i can wait till new year if i would get better card for the same price. if u had 2900, could u tell me if a 2600xt crosfire would out perform it, even if i were to wait till new year, this is something i would like to add to my knowledge. from what u said i dont think i need dual setup. also, where can i find some info on the new cards u were talking about? thanks

I am trying to build a gaming rig under $1000. currently my list has intel quad 6600, asus p5k e, 2gig ocz ddr2-800, hd 2600xt and 600w psu, costing me around $830.

and to everyone who replied, thanks guys
