E8400's aren't outdated, you'll be good with it!
and 430 w is enough, but you should be able to find a good 500w psu for less then the price of that, there have been some good ones in ncix sales lately. (although that is a good brand if you decide to stick with it).
Not so sure about the sound card though... I think someone around here would be able to advise of a better one.
