If the item was not insured (because buyer did not want it/pay for it) and was advertised as such, its not your problem.
If was was insured, it is the carrier's problem.

Warranty expired end of February. It was insured but the box was in great condition and physically the notebook looks fine. I would have a hard time saying it was damaged during shipping.
And considering that there are quite a few other macbook pro owners with the same problem, not likely not a shipping thing.
