Hmm... well, I never officially joined this little test, but I did see an immediate average drop of 10C across all cores after applying the diamond paste to the stock i7 920 sink. Possibly a little more.
I'm sorry, I'm probably breaking a rule or taking up space. I wish I'd recorded the actual statistics, but I forgot about this thread.
