So i have a lot of time on my hand this summer, currently anyways, hopefully i get hired and i was planning on making the following:

A strobe light with x amount of led lights (haven't decided the number yet) and was going to hook it up to the Arduino board i have that uses a watered down version of C. From there i wanted to find some find of vibration sensor or accelerometer to sense the vibrations/intensity of the subwoofer, sending that info analog to the Arduino, which would could the LEDs accordingly.

Now with all that tech out of the way, does anyone know of a good/inexpensive chip/component that can work as my accelerometer/vibration sensor.
