I really don't think you will notice much of a difference between a 720p and a 1080p on a 32" lcd tv. Of the 3 you posted, I would pick the samsung over the sony and the toshiba. The only decent sony's are the top of the line XBR's running off an HD source. They are terrible with SD.

In the end it's up to you. Go to a retailer and check out a bunch of tv's. Find one that you like, do your research and don't rush to buy that cheap deal, because it's probably cheap for a reason. I went shopping for an LCD TV and ended up with a plasma that I find can handle SD (I have SD cable) much better than an LCD can.
