My System Specs

Default WinSMP MPICH vs Virtual Machine

Hi there, I am folding using the MPICH and set it up as per the Folding@Home webpage. I am using an E8400 OC to 3.6 GHz and the SMP client seems pretty slow. Would I be better off trying the Virtual Machine route? Standard CPU client?

I am also folding on my GTX 295, on both cores (thanks to all the help from folks here and the dummy video plug!) but I would like to fold with the CPU in the most effective way as well. Just folding overnight and when I am at work right now, and sometime when I am just browsing the net.

So, what would be the most effective CPU client?

TIA!
