I'd suggest just going with a roll of sekisui tape, although perhaps somebody who's had some experience with adhesive TIM might have a better idea.
My concern is that any of the aftermarket heat spreaders I've seen for memory don't apply the pressure evenly, and thus wouldn't work well with a standard non-adhesive TIM.
