These things run 80c without a fan right ontop of them, its in a Dual Xeon setup. Once those silver clips are removed the heatspreaders are still "stuck" to the physical chips with some odd thermal paste (poorly applied) The new heatspreaders are pure copper, depending on the clamping force I may/may not use thermal paste on the ram chips, dunno yet.
