Alright got my second batch today, turns out my method didnt work so well either lol. What i ended up having to do is remove the retention bracket, apply the tim normally (spot in centre and press straight down with the heatsink), although i added about 20-30% more because of the hdt cooler, THEN insert the retention bracket and try and get it locked on. Gotta say it was pretty horrible to do lol, just spent about an hour trying to get that thing in there and locked down. Anyways temps already seem slightly better, ill load it up with prime for a few hours and see what improvement i get.

Ambient Temp: 20
Idle Temp: xx
Load Temp: 39-40

Wow, its hovering between 39-40c after 2 hours of prime95. That makes an improvement of 6-7c over the stock paste and a 4c difference with proper application Will add in load temps in the morning once the PC has idled for a a few hours, im expecting something around 26c based on this
