I recommend a Klipsch Pro Media 5.1 media system if you can find one.
The Z5500 is really the only unit available as far as digital systems go and despite my efforts in talking with logitech I can't say there will be any real improvement to the system anytime soon.
I look into a custom 5.1 system IMO, at a minimum explore the home theatre in a box market at least they'd be better than the Z5500's and still be in the same price range and offer greater flexibility over the longterm.
