How much pressure is the heatsink actually applying to the case?
It's already been mentioned, but it's worth mentioning again that you can always just dremel off 1/8 - 1/4" of the offending fin. I doubt that would have much of an effect on temps, and is something that a lot of folks need to do in order to make heatsinks fit properly.
