Yeah I was the same way... I didn't use weights for a few months... then I gave it a shot and got used to it, and I like it so much better this way. Some things I just like a solid, heavy feel to it... (Not women, but hey...

And HaDeS I know you hate the G5 already
But not all mouse will be comfortable for every person, any razer mouse that I put my hand on I'm absolutely disgusted, but some people love them. The sidewinder looks decent too, but I have no complaints about the G5! But replaceable mouse feet would be good, I noticed the sidewinder has that option.
