I think the decision has already been made on their end. If they liked what they saw, they have probably already notified the individual(s). That being said, it might be a good idea to publicly mention who has been 'promoted' (for a lack of a better word) so that others who are waiting for the announcement will have a little closure.
On a side note, cadaveca, congratulations! You have earned that position and I look forward to seeing more reviews from you. :)
