My System Specs

Default

Thanks for your reply. After searching through many forums, it appears that the Realtek ALC 850 and the P5N32 series of motherboards don't get along in many cases. In some cases, the problem was resolved by reloading windows or editing the registry. The software that detects the speaker jacks was actually causing my computer to flash BSOD for a second then automatically reboot . The event log told me I had pushed ctrl+alt+delete then clicked start. Definitely some major issues here. I have a solution. I'm going to purchase a sound card that doesn't use this audio codec. Audigy 2 series cards sound good and can be found on ebay for a decent price. Cheers!
