The CPU temperature being shown by SpeedFan is from the sensor located on the motherboard, while CoreTemp is taken from the actual CPU its self. You'll notice that Core in SpeedFan provides info from the same location as CoreTemp does.

That being said, while I agree that CoreTemp and RealTemp show the most accurate temperatures, if your trying to figure out a max overclock, personally I'd always assume the worst(highest) reading is correct(even if its not). Hope that helped!
